Absolutely Love this Mic, with a few caveats 4 out of 5 rating

Yes, I’d recommend this product.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, just this Mic has improved my podcasting like I never thought imaginable. The sound stage is right where it needs to be. It’s very clear, and very nice to look at.It has all of the features you would like in a podcasting microphone. My main issue is the position button when you have it in the base. More than once I have tipped it over switching between pick up positions for guests. I often have only one hand free and I can’t grip the base to stop it.Besides that, it’s everything I need!Report as inappropriate

Yes, I’d recommend this product.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the original Quantum Stream model which is a really nice mic in a slightly smaller form factor. The QS Studio design makes some intelligent improvements, however, such a moving the cable connections to the rear instead of the underside, offering multiple “sound stage” style modes, and adding a sound level LED right onto the front button area. And with all of the essential features controllable via physical buttons, there is complete compatibility with Macs/macOS. But that said, I can’t help but feel JBL is really overdue in investing in the creation of a version of the Quantum Engine or even a more general utility software by product type (similar to the separate JBL mobile apps they have for some of their headphones, speakers etc.) to bring a software control solution to the macOS platform for their gaming line of products (which their headsets and stand-alone mics fall under). This would really push JBL into the top tier, not only in product design and sound quality but in user experience. For me, it’s the missing feature that leaves me honestly giving a 5 star quality product only 4 stars.Report as inappropriate

Yes, I’d recommend this product.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There are a lot of great features concisely packed into this mic. First, the buttons are well placed and simplified. One touch sensitive button at the top for instant mic mute/unmute. A rotary+push button allows quick adjustment of mic gain, system volume, and balancing the priority of the two. The two ports on the back: a USB-c port to facilitate connection to compatible computer or gaming systems, and a 3.5mm audio output to headphones or other medium.Windows users also have the option to install Quantum software which offers software alternative to the hardware controls, and a few extra tweaks for saving lighting profiles and other settings. Now the true value, a button at the bottom of the mic switches between 4 microphone (polar) patterns: 1) Cardioid – Picks up audio directly from the front of the mic. This is ideal for individual podcast or monologue recording. 2) Omnidirectional – Picks up audio from all 360 around the mic. This is great for a group podcast where all participants are surrounding the microphone. 3) Stereo – This mode translates the left and right site of microphone audio into a stereo field, which works great for instruments and vocals that need record stereo width. 4) Bidirectional (also known as figure 8) picks up audio from the front and back of the mic. This mode is ideal for dialog between two people or performing a duet where each participant is on opposite sides of the mic. Most microphones on the market only offer 1 polar pickup pattern, so having 4 allows you to use one mic to achieve different goals as needed without swapping out.Now on to the build quality. The chassis and base are metal and feel like professional hardware. There is a rubber footing under the baseplate for sturdy placement and vibration absorption. The base plate can be threaded off to reveal a standard microphone mount, allowing you to use your existing arms, goosenecks, tripods or other mounting gear.Overall, the Quantum Stream Studio is a great value for content creators and gamers alike. If your recording environment needs change by the day, hour, or episode, the multi-pattern polar patterns is a huge benefit to minimizing your setup and breakdown time.Report as inappropriate

Yes, I’d recommend this product.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mic has some great practical features that can be accessed and utilized from the mic it self. There are 4 different settings for the mic, depending on how I use it. These can be changed from tapping the underside of the mic to switch from one to another without needing to go into the app. For video calls it works well without me having to lean right in front of it. I found the side tone to incoming audio ratio can also be changed on the volume knob which is very helpful. To mute its easy to just tap the top and the mic light turns Red. The cable that is provided is extra long so it can be used in a conference where the mic needs to be located farther away.Report as inappropriate

Yes, I’d recommend this product.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This microphone is really studio quality. The variety of pick up patterns make this truly a perfect mic for many situations. I have only used cardioid, but bi-directional, stereo & omnidirectional make it truly unique. The top to tap mute button on it is great for quick control. I think the RGB meter helps keep your attention for audio levels.Report as inappropriate

Yes, I’d recommend this product.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] JBL is listening to their customers and improved upon an already awesome microphone. The microphone is much more boom friendly since JBL moved the USB-C and headphone jacks from the bottom of the microphone to the rear of the microphone. The microphone is very user friendly and intuitive to use. The headphone and microphone is controlled by one knob on the front. The mute button is on top of the mic for easy access. Also the mic has four great functions depending on what you will be using the mic for such as podcasting, interviewing or a musician playing music. It’s also a good looking mic. Would highly recommend!Report as inappropriate
